I’ve always had an obsession with the historic Wentworth-by-the-Sea hotel on the New Hampshire coast – so much so that I wrote the hotel into my fiction romance and fantasy book series. The Rare Pearl is the first novel. Anyways last year I was at an art show when on vacation in Cape May, NJ looking at a watercolor painting of the hotel. A family friend peered over my shoulder and said she could easily paint it for me. She claimed as an artist she was always looking for new subject matter to paint. Totally excited, I couldn’t pass up her offer. As I typically only see this family friend, Christine, on my family’s yearly visit to Cape May, I was delighted that she’d completed a watercolor of the Wentworth hotel when I returned in July. The painting came out beautiful and will be a valued piece of artwork in my “Wentworth-by-the-Sea” collection.
So, a huge thank you to Christine for making something held near and dear to my heart.
From a humbly grateful friend!
